THOUGHTS ON STUDYING
We study so that we can acquire fundamental and accurate knowledge so that we can apply what we have learned for the progress of living.
Learning consists of changing one's feelings, thoughts, and actions in the progress of a better understanding of and adjustment to the world we live in.
To learn something new, relate it to something that you already know.
For efficient study, the best type of reading is CRITICAL READING.
Three general purposes for taking notes are:
1. to preserve information.
2. for future use.
3. an aid for clear thinking.
A PLACE FOR STUDYING SHOULD BE FREE FROM DISTRACTION.
A GOOD DICTIONARY SHOULD ALWAYS BE WITHIN REACH WHEN ONE IS STUDYING.
One should take advantage of his community resources as an aid for studying.
MY OWN THOUGHTS
I have found it better to dig out a lesson for one's self
before going to others for help.
The pencil is the best eye. We should use the pencil as
we study - [underline, special notations].
